Oksana Pikush, and the pupils of the Pata school
Maria Pikush learned from Vasyl Sokolenko and taught at the Petrykivka children's art school. When the school became an independent institution in 1995 she took it over as its head. With Andrii Pikush she taught their daughter Oksana at home.
In March 2025 she received the National Taras Shevchenko Prize together with Andrii Pikush, A. Karpets-Yermolaieva and N. Rybak, for the project «Petrykivka painting: in defence of identity».
Sources differ on her year of birth, giving 1953 and 1954. The family will settle it.
